I was born in Madagascar and had a hard start in life: my father remarried, and things at home were never easy with my new stepmother. As a teenager, I set off on my own in search of my birth mother in a village deep in the forest. Those years taught me patience, hard work in the fields, and a deep bond with my country.
When I came back to continue my education, I learned electronics repair before settling in Antsirabe, where I started from the bottom — first fixing bicycles, then, season after season, guiding travelers on my own. I taught myself English and French to better welcome visitors long before I ever imagined making a career of it.
After working as a guide for a travel agency, I decided to open my own company, 'Madagascar Tropic Voyage,' in 2006. I started out alone, but the business has grown steadily ever since — today three experienced guides work alongside me, and our agency has earned countless five-star reviews from travelers around the world.
Married and a father of three, I carry on, in everything I do, the promise I once made to always take care of my mother.
I am inspired by the chameleon, so adept at adapting to any situation. I draw on my experience from my tours to tailor them to the needs of my clients. I look forward to sharing my passion for Madagascar with you!
