Entry visa and residence with a single entry is issued to tourists or by diplomatic and consular representations Madagascar, either at the airport or port of entry on payment of the filing fee. Residence visas nonimmigrant under 3 months are extendible from Police Station for a cumulative period not exceeding three months.

Required documents

• Passport valid for at least another 6 months,
• 3 copies of the form to be completed by the applicant,
• 4 recent passport photographs,
• 1 photocopy of the ticket or certificate of OK Travel Agency,
• In case of a business trip, a written request stating the reason,
• Parental consent for minors traveling alone,
• The visa fee payable upon demand (or photocopy of the postal).

Visa

Following the official note No. 1447MFB/SG/DGI/DP/M/CF01 rights in Madagascar visa stays on or after 1 January 2008 will be:

• Stays of less than 1 month: free visa,
• The right of residence less than or equal to 3 months: 140,000 MGA or 60 euros,
• Visa for more than 3 months to 3 years: 150,000 MGA,
• Visa more than 3 to 5 years: 200,000 MGA,
• Visa for more than 5 years final: 150,000 MGA.

These rates are reduced to half for the missionaries of all faiths and their spouses residing in Madagascar as well as for foreign students undertaking studies in one of the great schools of the Republic of Madagascar.
